Day 4 & 5, Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Morning game drives through Tarangire National Park. Picnic lunch before flying to Manyara and transferring to The Manor at Ngorongoro, a stately home in the Tanzanian highlands, staying for two nights. Experience generous East African hospitality combined with old world Afro-European architecture, visit an authentic African market in the township of Karatu and take afternoon tea at The Manor.
Two days of exploration of the world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage site of the Ngorongoro Crater. The Crater is 16000 metres wide and the largest, unflooded, intact volcanic caldera in the world. From its rim it drops 600 metres to the crater floor, which is home to large animals including black rhino, hippopotamus, wildebeest, zebra and Thompson’s gazelle. The densest population of lion also reside here. On the crater rim look out for elephant and leopard.
